Curious topics

What is the meniscus?

How long does a knee replacement last?
When can I walk after hip replacement surgery?

After 24 hours following the surgery, the blood collecting tube placed in the operation site is removed, and then the patients are seated on the edge of the bed by the assistants to change the position. Dizziness or nausea and vomiting that may occur during this time should not be a concern. Then, we get our patients to their feet with the help of a walker or crutches. The first walk can be difficult. Let's not forget that the hip area is painful-swelling. However, with each passing day, patients will feel that they can walk more comfortably. Patients who have undergone this surgery should be careful not to sit on low places, especially during the first 6 weeks.

How is the diagnosis of wear (degeneration) in the hip joint made?
